I have played games and seen movies, shows, documentaries and many more with those type of warnings and some of them did change my mood but when it comes to this game ? This is probably the first thing i will take those warnings from now on way much more seriously and if I'm gonna dive into something like this, I will do it with way much more mental preparation. I think i will start with the first thing that pops up when you start up the game which is WARNING about the game focusing on some sensitive topics. I found out this game was really hyped back in the days and that development of this game and stuff before that are more than nearly 8 years old and it really feels like the final product released year or 2 ago really was worth to wait. Just to be clear there are still many parts i haven't explored, but when it comes to main story and some extras i did completed that. This is probably weirdest review i have probably written.Īfter a day of recovering from this I will try to say something about this game.

The humor of this game is centered around the absurd, and it pays off in a lot of hilarious gags, funny lines, memorable scenes and NPCs, and subplots that keep you distracted from the dark undertones and thematic hints laid throughout. The art-design in this game is flawless, with distinctive styles and palettes for each area, that work wonders at taking the player to these bizarre, absurd, and sometimes horrific locations, each full of unique, silly, clever- and again, horrific -NPCs and enemies. A lot of the amazing and often-times ethereal atmosphere of this game owes itself to a gorgeous soundtrack and overall great sound design, as well as the art. A heart-wrenching story that is told using deftly placed metaphors and symbolism, as well as evocative language.
OMORI is, perhaps, the best RPG to release since Undertale, with a story, world, and cast of characters that keep you invested and concerned with the overarching plot.
